I came here at the recommendation of a coworker and so glad I did because the food and service was top notch. I had the pulpo de parrilla, the Chilean sea bass, and the banana bread pudding. Everything was sooo flavorful and cooked to perfection. But the octopus was anazing and not chewy (nothing worse than overcooked and chewy octopus). And yes I ate everything. An excellent meal but even more exceptional service by server/bartender John. If I find myself back in New York soon, I will definitely be back but also highly recommend.

A hidden gem in Hell's Kitchen!
We had an amazing dinner at Buena Vista. The chicken breast stuffed with shrimp was tender and flavorful, perfectly balanced with the passion fruit sauce. The pork ossobuco was fall-off-the-bone good and paired beautifully with scalloped potatoes and a green apple au jus. The Hell's Kitchen Mule was refreshing and well mixed, and the banana bread pudding was the perfect finish. Romantic atmosphere, great service, and gorgeous presentation. Will definitely be back!

We were in NYC because my wife is running the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon.We were staying at a hotel nearby and looking for a place close by to eat.After searching for restaurants closer to Times Square I stumbled upon Buena Vista and was glad I did!
We were greeted by Elvis and were charmed by the quaint ambience.Our waiter Esteban provided outstanding service and the food was impeccable.Kudos to the bartender for mixing and outstanding Old Fashioned.I highly recommend this restaurant for its del food and great service!
